NEW DELHI, INDIA – External Affairs Minister of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar, held a 45-minute meeting in New Delhi with 27 journalists from 11 countries all over the world.
Those were journalists of Indian Origin who were participating in the special 79th Know India Programme (KIP), a program initiated by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Countries participating include Indonesia (represented by Television of the Republic of Indonesia—TVRI), Singapore, Mauritius, Kenya, New Zealand.

During the meeting, Dr. S. Jaishankar discussed the importance of Indian diaspora across the globe. He also addressed the function of Know India Programme (KIP) as a gate to connect young diaspora members with their Indian roots.
Previous KIP programmes were largely known for Indian Diaspora generally. This batch exclusively designed for journalists as a direct way for the Ministry to engage with influential voices in the global media.
