Working with TVRI Sport: Being The Only One Reporting The Closing Ceremony PON XXI
I was reporting the closing ceremony PON XXI at Sumut Sport Center on September 20th, 2024. There, no other TV channel was allowed to enter the gate except Television of The Republic of Indonesia (TVRI).
As the only female reporter and the only allowed reporter to report, I had a privilege to be part of this significant ceremony which had been held in the same province, 71 years ago. Last time, it was held in the same province in September 1953. This biggest sports competition occurs every 4 year, alike the olympiad.
I stood at the highest stair among 11.377 people. My background was the stunning gigantic stage. There were colorful lights filled the atmosphere in that "serene" moment.
That eventide turned into a big-deal celebration by the whole million eyes who have been eagerly waiting on television. Being the only one everyone waited for was once-in-a-lifetime experience.
