News Updates on India-Indonesia Cultural Ties
I met with Consul General of India in Medan, Mr. Ravi Shanker Goel. I attended one of their cultural programmes, a movie screening, last year. It was English Vinglish. An inspirational movie, dedicated for young to old women to learn English better. The Educational Film Tour initiative was designed to move beyond entertainment, using cinema as a tool for social empowerment and language learning.
Recent programs included a Diwali Food Festival and film screenings to enhance cultural diplomacy and people-to-people ties.
