I met Consul General of India in Medan, Shri Ravi Shanker Goel in Medan in 2024, right before my departure to New Delhi. I attended one of their cultural programmes, a movie screening. It was English Vinglish. An inspirational movie, dedicated for young to old women to learn English better. The Educational Film Tour initiative was designed to move beyond entertainment, using cinema as a tool for social empowerment and language learning.
